Community Key Informants should also be identified and given basic training and sensitization in
early identification of selected demographic events especially births & deaths, in order to
complement the work of the enumerators during update rounds. It should be clearly noted that
these are not salaried workers, but volunteers who will be remunerated based on events picked and
verified by community key informant supervisors. They can be identified with the help of the
community so that they are accepted and respected by the community.
