Sexual behaviour
There is an increasing concern about the health, social and economic problems associated with reproductive tract infections. The goal of preventing and curing reproductive tract infections is now being prioritized by public health agencies in the developing world. Reproductive health is mainly affected by the spread of STD/STIs in the community and risky sexual behaviour among sexually active adult population has being identified as the main factor contributing to high prevalence of reproductive tract infections. DSS can measure sexual behaviour in populations through the following way
Periodic data collection with the introduction of one or two questions into an existing data collection tool in a particular round on an annual, biannual basis
As a special model during a particular round of data collection where an entire questionnaire is developed to capture sexual behaviour
Cohort or Panel respondents followed longitudinal over a particular period of time.
See these sample tools for collection of information on the sexual behaviour.
