Developing procedures and training manuals
One of the first tasks of the senior team is to adapt, develop and translate the standard operating procedures manuals and training manuals before recruiting further staff.  The standard operating procedures and training manuals need to be well understood by all the people involved in running the DSS. The training manuals especially need to be in a language understood by all the field supervisors and interviewers. Their failure to understand what is in the manuals can lead to an unsuccessful training. The training manuals and the standard operating procedures should therefore be translated to a language understood by all. This should be done well before the training to ensure that the documents are reviewed to avoid any errors.
A number of manuals are provided in this Resource Kit in Section 6: Resources and Downloads.
