Dr. Sanjay Juvekar

Dr Sanjay Juvekar as a senior scientist has been the Principal Investigator for the study on COPD in India which is collaboration between the Chest Research Foundation and the Imperial College. He also worked as a the Principal Investigator in a multi country collaborative study which is supported by INDEPTH Network for the development of a prototype of data sharing among the demographic surveillance sites in Asia. During the years 1991-1999 Dr Juvekar worked as a research officer at the Foundation for Research in Community Health in Pune, India. He also undertook research activities from 2000-2002 at the Centre for Health Research and Development, The Maharashtra Association of Anthropological Sciences in Pune, India.

Dr Juvekar in 1991 obtained a Master of Science and a Doctor of Philosophy in Anthropology in 2002 from the University of Pune, India. He has authored and coauthored five publications in peer reviewed journals.
